Come out and Play!
On September 9, 2017 from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, we will be supporting Wounded Warriors, Pennsylvania’s Family Day by teaching Kayaking 1 & 2 at Ricketts Glen State Park (695 State Route 487, Benton, PA 17814). Not only will we be teaching kayaking basics, but we will also be teaching one of the most fun kayak-based past-times ever invented – KAYAK FOOTBALL!
NOTE: I can provide reimbursement for gas or we can set-up carpools to defray travel costs. Just keep your gas receipts!
If you can help out, let me know. If you’re bringing your own gear, bring your kayak, helmet, PFD and paddle. If you need gear, just come on out and I’ll have it all with me.
ADAPTIVE BOATERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND! This event is open to all Team River Runner members, regardless of chapter. Susquehanna Valley TRR is the primary POC for our contingent coming out to this amazing event. If you are coming from another chapter, please let me know. If your chapter would like to send a contingent, again, let me know so we can work out the details.
Thanks and I hope to see you there!

About PA Wounded Warrior
The PA Wounded Warriors primary focus is on Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors; they also visit military hospitals and outpatient facilities to thank all wounded warriors for their service. While informing them about programs, they use a small portion of our budget to distribute gifts like Pennsylvania foods, Pennsylvania based professional sport team caps and pajamas, iTune Cards, homemade blankets, letters from grade-school students, and our brochures to these recovering heroes.
PA Wounded Warrior is a statewide organization supported by many local civic, professional, business and veterans groups. If you know of a wounded warrior or their family in Pennsylvania who needs assistance, please contact them at info@pawoundedwarriors.org.
