The First Annual KAOS State Adventure Weekend will be held August 24-26, 2018 at the Pennsylvania Lions Beacon Lodge Camp in Mt. Union Pennsylvania. Visit the event site page at https://svtrr.org/kaos-state-adventure-weekend

This unique program teaches students who are blind or vision impaired, along with their families, how to safely kayak as a family activity. This weekend adventure is available to any student ages 8-18 years living in Pennsylvania who are blind or vision impaired along with their families. Any attending family members / guardians over the age of 18 will learn how to safely guide the student during one day of training on a lake and one really fun day on a calm and beautiful section of the Juniata River.
There is no cost for the kayak lessons, use of gear or the river trip. However, there is a fee involved that includes one night lodging, five meals and the use of the Beacon Lodge facilities. The costs are as follows:
- KAOS Paddler: $142
- KAOS Paddler plus guide: $284
- Family of four: $568
SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE on a first-come, first served basis and are based on financial need.
