There are a great many incorrect assumptions that employers commonly make when a Veteran, or anyone, for that matter, who has a disability arrives for an interview. However, this under-served population represent a vast field of untapped talent as well as a highly motivated workforce looking for an employer who will appreciate their contributions while challenging them to grow even more in their field of expertise.
At the end of the day, your return on investment is always a chief concern. The goal of the Infobility program is to help alleviate Employer concerns about hiring disabled Veterans by addressing some of your most delicate questions. The program also seeks to educate Employers about some of the benefits specific to hiring Veterans, Disabled Veterans, and Disabled members of the community.
- Why hire a person with a disability?
- What are some financial incentives?
- What does “Reasonable Accommodation” mean, really?
- What are some of the things I should I think about before, during, and after the interview?
- Where can I go for more information?
This site is part of a program called Infobility, a program with the goal of sharing information on disability issues, especially for disabled Veterans.
